Since 1992 the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence (ATASK) has worked with area social service organizations, institutions, and community leaders to end family violence and strengthen Asian families and communities. ATASK provides a comprehensive service that is culturally and linguistically appropriate to the survivors of domestic violence primarily in the Asian communities.

The services include but are not limited to:

  • 24 hour confidential hotline in several Asian languages (617-338-2355)
  • Emergency shelter programs
  • Crisis intervention and safety planning
  • Bilingual advocacy (legal, housing, welfare, healthcare, education, etc.) in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), Vietnamese, Khmer (Cambodian), Korean, Hindi, and Urdu
  • the Life Skills (ESOL) program
  • the Children’s program

ATASK also offers various education and outreach activities through events, workshops, training, and collaborations with other community organizations for prevention and intervention. We provide workshops for both youth and adults.
